Every patient receives one text message after their first appointment, with a link to leave a Google review if they'd like to. We send it once, and we send it on our own time. If we don't hear back, we never chase. Most of the 194 came in voluntarily.
We don't offer discounts for reviews. We don't ask for reviews on TrustPilot, Doctify or any paid platform. We don't filter the responses, and we don't write replies designed to game the algorithm. The reviews on Google are the reviews. They are also the only ones we count.

Yes. All 194 five-star reviews are verified Google reviews collected directly from patients of the Bursledon, Southampton clinic. We don't reproduce or paraphrase reviews on third-party platforms and we don't pay for, incentivise or solicit reviews beyond a single post-appointment SMS that links to the Google review form.
Google reviews require a real account, are public and auditable, and are the platform 92% of new patients use to assess a Southampton aesthetic clinic before booking. Trustpilot, Facebook and clinic-owned review widgets are easier to game, so we don't use them. One platform, fully visible, no curation.
The 5.0 average is patient-driven, not curated. Every review on the Google profile counts toward the aggregate. We have run continuously since 2019, and the practice has avoided the two patterns that drive ratings down: over-promising on the consultation, and over-treating in the chair. Soft, considered, proportion-led work tends to produce reviews that read as five-star.

We answer every review honestly and on the public profile. To date we have not received a sub-5-star Google review at the Bursledon clinic. If we ever did, we would address the substance publicly, the practitioner accountability privately and the policy lesson sitewide.
