Dermal fillers are a hyaluronic acid gel, injected at a precise depth into the parts of the face that have lost structure over time. Cheek, tear-trough, chin, jawline, naso-labial. Used carefully, the result reads as restored proportion. Used carelessly, it reads as filler.
The work is in the map, not the millilitres. A face is a structural drawing before it is a surface. Where the bone has receded, the soft tissue follows. The job is to identify the supporting points the face has lost and to give them back, one at a time. We treat fewer areas, more often, than the industry default.
Krystian's first instinct in almost every consultation is to defer half of what you came in for. Half a millilitre in the cheek often makes the chin and the jawline read correctly without ever touching them. A patient who came in asking for "cheeks and chin and lips" usually leaves with one tactical placement and a follow-up booked for six weeks later.
Every product we use is HA-based and dissolvable. If you ever change your mind, or if a result is read incorrectly by your skin over time, the filler can be removed. This is the single most important safety property of the modern dermal filler category and we treat it as a foundational principle of how we practise.
The patients who come back happiest after twelve months are the ones who left their first appointment thinking Krystian had been mean with the product. The face under-treated by 20% ages better in photographs than the face treated to its perceived ceiling on day one.

The structural map
Where the bone has receded. Where the fat pads have descended. Almost every patient walks in pointing at a line and walks out being treated two centimetres above it. The line is almost never the cause.
The proportion read
The face in thirds. Forehead to brow, brow to base of nose, base of nose to chin. We measure these ratios at consultation. Most filler is needed in the lower third and is asked for in the middle.
What the room reads back
The result has to make sense from across a kitchen, not from a phone camera six inches away. We work to the room. The room is the test the patient is actually going to take.

Arrival and consent
Tea, written medical form, the consent walkthrough. We re-photograph at the same angles every visit. Krystian asks what's changed since last time, and what's bothering you in the mirror this week.
The structural read
Mirror in hand, fingertip mapping. You'll see what Krystian sees. Where the bone has receded, where the fat pads have shifted, what the line in front of you is actually a symptom of. The plan is agreed before any product is opened.
Topical anaesthetic
Topical numbing cream sits for ten minutes. Most patients describe the injections as pressure rather than pain. We use a cannula where appropriate to reduce bruising. The needle gauge is the smallest in clinical use.
Placement
Slow, deliberate, layered. Half a millilitre in one structural point, mirror up, read the result, half a millilitre in the next point. We work to the agreed plan and stop as soon as the proportion is restored, not as soon as the syringe is empty.
Aftercare brief
No heat, no exercise, no alcohol, no sleeping face-down for 24 hours. We'll text you at day two and day fourteen to read the result with you. Settle at day fourteen, full read at six weeks. A complimentary review is booked for the fortnight mark.

Will it look like filler?
Not in the work we do. The single most common reason filler reads as filler is volume in the wrong place, not volume on the face at all. We treat the structural cause, not the visible symptom, and we use measurably less product than most clinics. Most of our patients are told they look well-rested rather than asked what they've had done.
Is it reversible?
Yes. Every product we use is a hyaluronic acid gel and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase in a follow-up appointment. We treat this as a foundational safety property of the entire dermal filler category. If a result reads incorrectly to you at the fortnight mark, dissolving is on the table.
How long does it last?
Nine to eighteen months, depending on the area, the product and the metabolic rate of the patient. Cheek and jawline tend to last toward the longer end. Lip and tear-trough toward the shorter. We track this against your own pattern over your second and third treatment cycles.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe it as pressure rather than pain. We use a topical numbing cream that sits for ten minutes before treatment. Cannula technique reduces both bruising and discomfort. The product itself contains a local anaesthetic, so each placement gets easier as the session goes on.

What we tell you before we begin.
- Bruising and swellingMost common short-term effect. Resolves within 24 to 72 hours, occasionally up to a week around the eye and lip area.
- Tenderness on palpationNormal for the first 48 hours. The product is settling into the tissue plane.
- Occasional asymmetryRead at the fourteen-day mark. If we see it, we revise complimentary at week two.
- Vascular events (rare)The most serious complication. Krystian uses cannula technique in high-risk areas and carries hyaluronidase on site in every clinic.
- ExclusionsPregnancy, breastfeeding, active facial infection, autoimmune flare, prior bad reaction to HA product class, or active connective-tissue disease.
